The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery is part of the University College London Hospitals Foundation Trust along with its neighbour the Institute of Neurology. The National Hospital is the largest specialist Neurological Hospital in the UK and is seen as a centre of excellence throughout the world.
The National has over 200 inpatient beds, with a dedicated day care facility for tests, investigation and treatment. There are many specialist units including dementia, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and stroke. There is a pioneering patient-centred neuro-rehabilitation service and the largest specialised neurosurgical-ITU and the only neuro-medical ITU in the country.
The Hospital is also a major international centre of research and training and is engaged in cutting edge science and development of treatments for neurological diseases.
